Allison Pregler reviews Z-grade films typically horror films and martial arts. Her style is similar the character of The Cinema Snob in that she loves dumb action films. Her first review was in 2009, and when she gained some recognition through the forums (under her old handle Obscurus Lupa) she was accepted as a part of the Channel Awesome family. She remained part of the site from January until the beginning of 2015 in which the channel Obscurus Lupa Presents changed into Movie Nights. She hosts two podcasts which focus on the Charmed franchise. After a controversial departure from Channel Awesome Allison officially announced on January 20th 2015 that she'd be revamping OLP into an impromptu review show called Movie Nights with an appropriately-shlocky elevator jazz theme. The role of a guest on Midnight Screenings is a regular event. The program reviews grotesque films aimed at children, RiffTrax and live shows. The show also has a few times adult comedy. The first time she reviewed a film was the middle of 2009. Her name gained lots of popularity through her participation in the Channel Awesome forum before becoming part of their family. She's appeared on a variety of Channel Awesome series, from Atop the Fourth Wall through Phelous & the Movies. The actress was member in Channel Awesome's Channel Awesome Family alongside Doug Walker as well as appear often on episodes of The Nostalgia Critic.
