Madhuri Dixit
Madhuri was an Indian actress, who gained notoriety for her roles in the film Hum Aapke Hin Koun and Beta Saajan. In the late 80s when she started her acting career. She became well-known for the character Tezaab in which she appeared alongside the veteran actor Anil Kapooor. Her next role was in Dil in which she shared screen space with Aamir. Early on, as a child growing up in the middle class of Mumbai, she began to learn how to dance. When she was a teen, she began acting and was a victim for a few years because most of her early films failed. Her fame grew and she became one of India's top movie actresses. After her marriage, she took an interruption in her professional career. Later, she returned. In recent years, Dixit was a key player as a character in Gulaab Gang a movie about the struggle of Indian women. Dixit was nominated for fifteen Filmfare Awards, out of which she was awarded eight. The actress was also honoured with the Padma Shri the fourth highest civilian honour in India. Social work by her is known to the world.
